Get to Know Dr. Brooke Jeffy

When it comes to your enjoying your experience at the doctors, we know that building a connection and feeling heard by your healthcare provider is number one which is why we partnered with providers that share our vision for an enjoyable, patient-first approach.

We are so thrilled to welcome Dr. Brooke Jeffy, a board-certified dermatologist and our first provider in Massachusetts! Dr. Jeffy brings years of experience in dermatology, an interest in integrative medicine and a true passion for helping her patients. Not to mention, she has over 250 five-star reviews on ZocDoc!

Why did you choose dermatology as a specialty?

I chose dermatology because I love treating conditions where both myself and the patient can see a real difference with treatment. Treating things you can actually see on the skin versus numbers is more fun and engaging for me and more motivating for patients. It is so rewarding to help a get a skin condition under control and see a change in a patient's confidence and sometimes personality! My favorite transformations occur when treating acne patients.

Do you have any areas of dermatology that you are particularly interested in?

My favorite condition to treat is acne because I can really change a person's life by giving them more confidence. I apply an integrative approach to all conditions I treat by combining traditional dermatologic care with overall health and wellness strategies. Hair loss is another condition I really enjoy treating. I am very passionate about educating my patients regarding sun protection from the inside out.

What is one adjective that your patients would use to describe you?

Tell us a little more about your own personal skincare routine.

My skin tends to be dry so I use gentle cleansers such as Cetaphil Hydrating  Facial Cleanser or La Roche Posey Toleriane Hydrating Cleanser daily. I use Zo Exfoliating Polish daily as well. In the morning, I love using an antioxidant like SkinCeuticals CE Ferulic and then layering SkinCeuticals H.A. Intensifier on top. My go to facial sunscreen is the Zo Sunscreen + Primer SPF 30.

At night, I either use the Zo Growth Factor Serum or a prescription grade Tretinoin at night. For my eyes, I love the Neocutis Lumiere Firm Riche eye cream.

Body Products:

Living in Arizona and being a dermatologist, I take sun protection seriously! I use La Roche Posay's Antihelios Melt-In Milk SPF 60 as my body sunscreen and love Cetaphil's Moisturizing Cream as an all-over body moisturizer.

In-Office Treatments:

In terms of in-office treatments, I get microneedling every other month and glycolic peels monthly.

I take the Nutrafol Women's Balance supplement daily to help with stress and hair thinning.

Diet and Nutrition:

I eat either eggs or oatmeal for breakfast and a plant-based protein and fruit smoothie with yogurt for lunch. I eat lots of fish and veggies for dinner.

What is your favorite wellness routine or favorite way to de-stress?

I think de-stressing is SO important. I workout every day. I do a combination of weight training, high intensity interval training and barre. I do hot yoga a few times per week. I practice mindfulness daily. I love taking my dog, Rory, on long walks and hiking. I enjoy spa days with massages and alone time. I love storms and vacationing in mountain towns. And of course, spending time with my son and husband.

Any other fun facts that we should know about you?

I am from Louisville, Kentucky and have a southern accent. Even my own son gives me a hard time about my accent since he has grown up in Arizona and does not have it!
